The Sports Medicine Wings are a symbol of School Sports Medicine programs. The wings are a demonstration of the values of the program and the role it plays within the school and greater communities.
The symbol of Sports Medicine contains five parts and represents the five important values:
The Shield symbolizes our duty to protect and defend the athletes and the persons in our charge.
The Torch symbolizes our quest for knowledge & a commitment to spread that knowledge in darkness.
The Rod of Asclepius symbolizes the medical field and our commitment to restoration and healing.
The Wings symbolize athletic prowess, agility, and speed; what we help our athletes achieve.
The Laurel Wreath symbolizes victory, honor, and excellence; both in ourselves and for our athletes.
